Areas of Practice

Jim is the senior partner in the firm. The areas of Corporate/Commercial Law and mortgage financing have been a long-standing specialty of his practice. Jim also devotes a substantial portion of his time to residential and commercial real estate, Municipal Law, and the related areas of Condominium Law and Assessment Appeals.

Jim's most recent endeavour is as a sports attorney acting on behalf of athletes and sports organizations.

Membership

Jim is a currently a member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Thunder Bay Law Association. He is also a registered player agent with the National Hockey League Players Association.

Community Involvement

Jim is actively involved in the sport of hockey. He has coached hockey for 25 years, most often at the elite level. He serves as an instructor under the National Coaches Certification Program and instructs regularly at coaching seminars on the legal liability of hockey coaches.
